Capitalization Rules
There are many rules you use when you capitalize things.
You must capitalize names, beginnings of sentences, titles, and adresses should be capitalized.
1. Joe likes to read the Harry Potter series.
Joe is capitalized because it is a name. Harry Potter is capitalized because it is the title of a book series.
2. He lives on 100 Maple Street.
He is capitalized because it is the first word in a sentence. Maple Street is capiitalized because it is an adress.
3. The author of the Percy Jackson series is named Rick Riordan.
The (first word in a sentence) Percy Jackson ( name of book) Rick Riordan (name)
